Natasha Anne Bedingfield (born 26 November 1981) is a Grammy Award-nominated British pop singer and songwriter.
Based in Book St., London, Bedingfield debuted in the 1990s as a member of the Christian dance/electronic group The DNA Algorithm with her siblings Daniel Bedingfield and Nikola Rachelle. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Bedingfield recorded rock and gospel songs for the Hillsong London Church, while Daniel went on to enjoy success with hits “Gotta Get Thru This” and “If You're Not The One”.
Bedingfield recorded her first album Unwritten in 2004. The album contained primarily uptempo pop songs and was influenced by R&B music;[1] it enjoyed international success with over 2.3 million copies sold worldwide. In 2007, she received a Grammy Award nomination for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" for the song "Unwritten". Bedingfield's second album N.B. (2007) yielded the singles "I Wanna Have Your Babies", "Soulmate" and "Say It Again". Bedingfield has achieved five top ten singles in the United Kingdom and, as of April 2008[update], she has sold over 10 million singles and albums worldwide.[citation needed]
Pocketful of Sunshine is the third album by pop singer songwriter Natasha Bedingfield. It was released by Epic Records on January 22, 2008 and received mixed reviews. The album includes new songs as well as tracks from her second album N.B., which was never released in the United States, but released in the United Kingdom on April 30, 2007. Pocketful of Sunshine was a top three album in the United States, and both its lead single "Love Like This", featuring Sean Kingston and second single "Pocketful of Sunshine" were top twenty hits, with the latter being a top five hit.
The album featured collaborations with Jamaican American reggae artist Sean Kingston and Maroon 5's lead singer Adam Levine, and was influenced by hip hop music, electronic music, and reggae.[5][6] Most of the songs focus on love and relationships, as opposed to her debut album Unwritten, which dealt with independence and opportunism.
